The library has a Scholastica account for electronic submission of manuscripts for publication in law reviews and journals. If you have questions or need assistance with Scholastica, please contact us at DickinsonLawLib@psu.edu.
Washington and Lee's Law Journals: Submissions and Rankings service classifies and ranks law reviews and journals based on subject matter, impact, and number of citations in journals and legal opinions. "Information for Submitting Articles to Law Reviews and Journals" by Allen Rostron and Nancy Levit provides submission guidelines for more than 200 law reviews.
We actively promote scholarship through Insight, the Law School's institutional repository. Penn State Dickinson Law's Legal Research Paper Series is administered through the library, and every effort is made to include the most up-to-date faculty scholarship.
We encourage you to deposit your scholarship in one or both places. To do so, email us at DickinsonLawLib@psu.edu. Please provide the PDF of your article, an abstract, and your publication agreement to ensure you retain the right to deposit the article in the repository and on SSRN.
Scholarship included on Insight or SSRN includes PlumX, a service that helps faculty analyze the impact of journal articles, books, book chapters, and more.
PlumX pulls together metrics from many sources, including the eLibrary, SSRN, publication databases (such as SCOPUS, PubMed, and EBSCO), blogs, social media sites, video sites (such as Vimeo and YouTube), and citation management systems (such as Mendeley). PlumX groups the metrics into five categories:
These metrics are all collected and displayed on the Plum Widget, which appears on the article record page in Insight. By hovering over the widget, you are able to see the breakdown of usage, captures, citations, mentions and social media. Each article in the eLibrary has a Plum Widget. For more information on this service, please contact us at DickinsonLawLib@psu.edu.
